The whole point for a longsleeve jersey is to keep you riding through 12 months of the year. So, in order to get the job done, why wouldn't you want a jersey with the most insulating (yet breathable) properties out on the market. Anybody can make something baking, blistering hot, but most of those materials don't breathe enough, so you only end up using it only when it's too cold out. Like nasty cold. With 100% New Zealand Merino you get insulating properties that rolls with the ups and downs of your different temperature ups and downs. We've added flat locked seams for comfort, and there are 2 pockets in the back to stow a light jacket, vest, 2 plane tickets to somewhere warmer, and a few of those little airplane bottles.

 Diving Deeper
100% New Zealand Merino is one of the worlds most technical fabrics. The fabric's capabilities have been attempted to be duplicated in synthetics, but no lab has been able to come up with such a diverse assortment of technical properties. Over the last decade, Swobo has worked very closely with the leading New Zealand developers of Merino farming and fabric innovation. To really dive into what they do, click HERE to get some really interesting Merino information. This fabric has been designed to be worn directly against your skin, and that's how your going to receive all the technical benefits. Merino has teh fastest moisture transportation rate of any fabric, which is why they don't stink after even several long rides. The no stink factor is because the fiber doesn't allow bacteria to form. No bacteria means no stink. Simply dry a 100% Merino jersey out, and be amazed at how they don't retain odor. These also have a massive temperature range. You can wear these in 90 degree heat, and 40 degree bitterness. The fiber has a unique ability to retain heat as well as move heat away from your skin...so it will feel cool next to your skin. We could go on and on...but everybody who throws a leg over a bike needs at least one of these remarkable jerseys in the jersey collection.

I second Victoria's comment. It's a gorgeous jersey, but it just doesn't stand up to having a heavy messenger bag swung round it 50 times a day. (Mine has huge holes in the left shoulder, right hip, and at the back, where the pockets meet.) I'm still tempted to get another one though, and just make sure I always wear a gilet over it. It's that nice. (And whatever happened to the pink version?)

Fabulous fitting and soft jersey. Perfect for mtbiking on cool days but sure would be nice if us women could have that great orange color that the men get.

I can't say enough good things about this jersey. First the cut is deliciously fitted and curvy. I always struggle to find tops that fit my chest yet aren't baggy and awkward elsewhere. All you women who are grander than the generic cycling A-B cup, this jersey is for you! I have a Large and love it. The performance of the wool is amazing. It is soft and smooth with not an itch or scratch in sight. Keeps me warm on its own or, on frosty mornings, with a wind shell, yet remains cool and breathable in the sun and on climbs. Finally, the wool stays amazingly odor free even after several rides. How will I wear stinky synthetic again? I am hooked!

This is a very pretty, very soft garment. It's the perfect weight for riding hard during the cool months. It's not quite long enough for me (I'm about 5'7"). And it didn't last long worn under a mess' bag. Totally recommended for the roadie, not for the messenger. Sorry, dudes.
