Over the last year, we worked closely with our Gurus of everything that is Merino, and they have come up with one of the most performance dripping fabrics Swobo has ever used in it's 18 years of Merino design. New to this year is a unique fabric that is now called Thermo-Gnar®. It's a bonded fabric with Merino being next to skin, and then a layer of Nylon and Spandex bonded to the outside of the garment. Super soft Merino delivers all the qualities of world class Merino, and then the Nylon and Spandex layer on the outside allows the garment to stretch and repel wind like never before. This is one of the most high tech performance fabrics we have seen in a long time, and the fact that it has Merino as a next to skin transporter, it makes it feel like nothing we've even worn.

It's been a real pain in the ass trying to get these back from our fit models. THermo-Gnar® stretches like silly putty, wicks moisture away like a sponge, warms you up like scotch, and repels wind and rain like....like something that repels wind and rain really well.

I have worn these Knickers on several rides this fall and Winter, they are great for a wide range of temps. I'm not a real crazy about the waist band. There is no draw string or grippe elastic around the waist so they tend to move downward I have taken a belt and put in on around the top to keep them up. I'm sure suspenders will be a nice fix. Chamois is just wright. 5'10" 175lbs

OK so it was 12min to 12 and I had to get to the start of the Homie Fall Fest. My wingman Stevil was with me and he already was wearing'em. Said " you better be prepared boy!" The temps were in the low 40's and going down. Anyhow, I got them on and sprinted across the bridge just in time to lead 175+ riders down the Missisippi River on a hell ride of epic proportions. I'm not kidding! 13.5 hours later, I was still dry and warm. Yeah I fell down a few times, got a little wet. But I tell ya those knickers were the dealeo. I'm not kidding! Best knickers...., EVER! You should make a hat out of that stuff too. Shit, when I trash these in a few years I'll make one.

okay, i just got back from a great trip to Marin & Napa & wore the new thermoGnar knicknacks every day on rudes in the 60's & in the mid 80's - yeah, maybe a little gross, anyway - they were fantastic.... it might not be a compliment to say i didn't think about them that much, but, it goes to show how comfy & easygoing they are.... at no point did they make me aware of them... like a naked baby that doesn't have 'body image shame' yet.... they are really great & a good alternative to the Fensters that i wear when it's chilly.
